Artist
Robertha Williams (also known as Robertha Bates) was an American soul pop singer, who released just one single: 'Tell Mamma Not To Cry' b/w 'Maybe Tomorrow' (1965), released on Uptown Records. Historical footnote: both songs were co-written by a young Lou Reed, who got his start in the music industry as an in-house staff songwriter (and occasional session guitarist/vocalist) for Pickwick Records. Robertha Williams also recorded as Ronnie Dickerson. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
