The soundtrack to the video game Ridge Racer Type 4 (often referred to as simply R4) is well known for its soundtrack, featuring drum'n'base, lounge and nu jazz. Probably the most highly regarded soundtrack of the series to date. Ridge Racer Type 4 (for Sony Playstation) was developed by Namco and launched as a console only release on 3rd December 1998 in Japan. Many of the songs on the soundtrack were performed by Kimara Lovelace of King Street Records (who also worked heavily on Ridge Racer 7's soundtrack). Hiroshi Okubo (in house composer at Namco) is listed as composing many of the tracks although some citation is needed on this.
