Formed in early 2012 by vocalist Zack Perry and lead guitarist Justin Cole, Reveler is a 5-piece metalcore band from Beckley, WV. After the loss of original drummer Krystion Stover, the remaining members contacted Brad Shamblin to take over on drums. In late June 2012, John Ramsey was picked up to fill in on bass when bassist Jesse Snead left the band. Then, when rhythm guitarist Nick Blackburn left the band in August, he stepped up to become Reveler’s rhythm guitar player. While the band was still searching for the right bass player, Jesse decided to re-join the band, completing the current line-up. After playing their first show July 8, 2012, Reveler quickly realized what potential they had as a band. In between playing several shows per month, they focused on writing new material and came to the decision to record a full-length record, as opposed to simply recording a short EP. In January 2013, Reveler entered the studio with world-renowned producer, Andreas Magnusson, who has recorded and produced bands such as Oh, Sleeper; Haste the Day; Impending Doom and the newest Fit For A King record. After spending 3 weeks in Richmond, VA, to record a 10-song record, Reveler came out of the studio a more hardened, well-rounded band. Although Reveler has only just begun, they have accomplished much in their first year of being a band. On top of recording a full-length with Andreas Magnusson, they have also already picked up a couple endorsements, SJC Drums and Knucklehead Strings. T
