Red Robot is an alternative rock band from Los Angeles, California formed in 2006 by Andy (lead vocals) and Ryan Studer (drums), later joined by Andy Miller (bass) and Aaron Moore (guitar). All four bandmates attended the Hamilton Academy of Music where they started the band and recorded home demos together. With composition degrees from the California Institute of the Arts, the band creates unique blends of contemporary rock, electronics, and orchestral instrumentations. The band’s first studio-recorded EP, Identification, was released in August 2011 as a free digital download. It includes the song “You Could Only Take” which was mastered by Evren Goknar at Capitol Records as a result of a songwriting/recording competition.
