Launched in 2006, Danny Riley's Rainbow Jump Orchestra! performed in Boston until moving to Seoul in 2009 and performing around South Korea. In 2011, Rainbow Jump Orchestra! relocated to San Francisco to record his first full-length solo album, Instant Coffee Etcetera, released under his label, Fashion Picnic, on August 15th, 2011. The 15-track album flaunts a catchy and child-like Electro Pop aesthetic with influences stemming from cartoons, comic books, childhood games, indie pop, synth pop, Shibuya-kei, chiptune, and traditional pop. Instant Coffee Etcetera is available as a digital album through Bandcamp, iTunes, and Amazon MP3, or as a limited-edition CD with hand-designed sleeve through Bandcamp. Live performances often feature excessive squeezing, aggressive marshmallow feeding, plenty of stickers, and costumed city-smashings.
