My name is Billy Jack Purnell, I am a solo artist from central Missouri & perform as Plain & Simple. In 2009 I released my debut album "Acousticueticals." It went over very well for me and put me on the map in my local area earning airtime and a strong local following.The album earned a review in www.twangville.com upon it's release & somehow got an extra write up for winning that weeks readers pick poll. It also featured on www.madeloud.com the week of February 11th 2011 on the home page and is currently available on my site. It amazingly placed #5 in the top 50 most played under the folk genre, on the Roots Music Report, for the week of Feb 11th 2011! With the help of my site www.plainnsimple.net I have managed to reach some other states and for the moment the small but none the less success the album has received has been more than I ever would have imagined. I have currently released a new single off of my second album "Bipolar 101" titled "Last Name" and it is appearing to take off! Already reaching air waves in K.C. Missouri,( www.kccaferadio.com )California M.O.,( KRLL 1420 AM) Delaware(www.originalworksradio.com ) & Chicago at (www.TheEdgeOnAir.com) The new album has been released digitally on my site as of 2/21/2011 My soul concern is & has always been to create good music & if people can find some relatable substance in the music, there is no better pay off.
