Dan Johnson and The Cigarillos are an Alternative/western Band formed in Queensland in 2009. Bringing a wide range of styles held together by a gravely vioce that echoes the rougher side of a life on the road ,drugs, bars, whiskey and women. Dan Johnson and The Cigarillos are on a ride through the fallen American dream and the post 9/11 west, documenting there travels in melodic western songs. There Demo E.p "To hell and Back" is available here. Dan Johnson Biography - The Early Years Daniel Johnson (born 24th August, 1984) Is an Alternative Singer songwriter based in Redcliff, Queensland. Dan was born in Peterborough, England in 1984 and spent his early years moving from house to house as his parents renovated and sold up moving to the next. Dan parents divorced in 1989 when Dan was 4 years old. He stayed with his mother and step farther.through out his childhood Dan was a keen artist and when he turned 13 he started writing poems and songs. In 1998 at age 14 Dan started his first band in the Garage of his friends house in Deeping, England.Dan Played bass but after a short time he gave up bass to consentrate on singing.They never made it out the garage. Between the age of 15 and 17 Dan Left home, finished school and after moving to the city of peterborough Dan Started a 4 piece punk rock band called 'Pig Ignorant' they played a couple of shows and dabled in some home recording before disbanding.
