Pin-up was established in 2003 with an all-female line up by Aysegül Esen, Özlem Gündogmus, Ilgin Itir and Ezgi Özkan who were university students. In a few months, the band started to gig in most crowded pubs of Istanbul and had performance in some significant international festivals. Pin-up had nearly a hundred shows just out of their hometown Istanbul. Some of the important shows the band had place were Creamfields Dance Festival with the band Placebo, Rock N Harley Festival with Uriah Heep, Yedikule Aid Concert. Finally in May 2006, Ayse Ertugrul, one of the most experienced and populer singers of Izmir rock music scene, joined the band as vocalist instead of Ilgin. Turkey's most energetic, most exciting and most modern all-female rock band Pin-up, that already has a great width of fans, is now getting preperad for the debut album.
