PhilHarmoUniQue (フィルハーモユニーク) was an rock-funk-pop band from Nagoya, Japan, signed to Label OORONG RECORDS. The band was previously known as 自由人 (Free Man). In 2007. they renamed to PhilHarmoUniQue, and started releasing music under this name. The band name is combination of two words thought by members, Goroukawa suggested word “フィルハーモニー (Philharmonic)”（＝音楽愛好家 - music lovers）and Imaizumi proposed “ユニーク (unique)”（＝たった一つの - one of kind）. Band has unique music style with Japanese lyrics presenting strong messages full of emotions, aiming with song arrangements characterized by strong relaxed singing voice, with the music to move the hearts of people. After name change to PhilHarmoUniQue, they started using more sounds of piano & strings, and invited guest member for their live performances bacoming 5 memebrs band from January 2008. Members: - 五郎川陸快 (Goroukawa Takayoshi) - Vocal & Guitar - 原拓馬 (Takuma Hara) - Guitar - 今泉慎也 (Shinya Imaizumi) - Bass & Chorus - 中村聡志 (Satoshi Nakamura) - Drums Gorokawa, together with Hara, Imaizumi and Nakamura, went in the same Musical school in Nagoya, and they decided to form band 自由人, in March 2002. They were active under that name until 13 May 2007, when the band changed name to PhilHarmoUniQue, and announced change of activities on LIVE at Shimokitazawa CLUB Que.
