自由人 (Free Man) was an rock-funk-pop band from Nagoya, Japan. Later, in 2007, the group changed their name to PhilHarmoUniQue. Members: - 五郎川陸快 (Goroukawa Takayoshi) - Vocal & Guitar - 原拓馬 (Takuma Hara) - Guitar - 今泉慎也 (Shinya Imaizumi) - Bass & Chorus - 中村聡志 (Satoshi Nakamura) - Drums Band has unique music style with Japanese lyrics presenting strong messages full of emotions, aiming with song arrangements characterized by strong relaxed singing voice, the music to move the hearts of people. The band formed in March 2002, while Gorokawa went in the same Musical school in Nagoya, together with Hara, Imaizumi and Nakamura, and they decided to form 自由人. At start they performed only in Nagoya, later on they became active in Tokyo also participating in auditions and winning Gran Prix on singing contest. On 10 March 2004, they released 1st Mini-Album 『世界のはじまり』, and soon after in November they released 1st Full Album 『シンカオン』. Next year, on 6 July 2005, followed release of 2nd Album 『夢の方へ』. In the same year, 2005, the band did first one-man Live in Nagoya on 5 April, and then all year they performed Live in Tokyo, Nagoya, Fukui. After hiatus in 2006, the band performed at ShubiyaO-West in March 2007. Same year, on 13 May 2007, they changed name to PhilHarmoUniQue, and announced change of activities on LIVE at Shimokitazawa CLUB Que.
