Peggy Glanville-Hicks (29 December 1912 – 25 June 1990) was an Australian-born composer who studied in Europe then lived and composed mostly in America and Greece in the 1940s, 50s and 60s. In addition to composing and conducting, she wrote reviews and directed arts administration groups. Her body of work includes concertos, choral suites, ballets, and four operas. In 1976, she returned to Australia and contributed to its national music scene until her death in June 1990.
