Born on 21 April 1979 in Wrocław, in 1998 he began learning composition with Jerzy Filc. During the years 2003-2008 he studied composition in the class of Grażyna Pstrokońska-Nawratil at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław. He spent the winter semester of the academic year 2005/2006 at the Hochschule für Musik in Cologne as part of the Socrates-Erasmus scholarship programme, studying composition in the class of York Höller. In 2003 he took part in the 21st international workshop for young composers, organised by Polish Section of simcin Warsaw (lecturers included Luca Francesconi, Anders Hillborg, Marco Stroppa, Horatiu Radulescu, Ivan Fedele), and in 2005 he participated in the International Computer Music Workshop in Wrocław. During the years 2004-2008 he was a recipient of the Minister of Culture scholarship, during 2006-2008 he received a scholarship from the City of Wrocław, and in 2007 he was awarded a scholarship by the Authors' Association zaiks. In the same year he was included in the four-year Promotion Programme by the Krzysztof Penderecki European Music Centre. He has won many national and international awards, including the 3rd Prize at the International Composers' Competition organised by the Franz Josef Reinl Foundation in Vienna for his work Anepigraph (2005). In 2006 his composition Heterochronia was recommended by the national jury for performance during World Music Days in 2007 in Hong Kong. His works have been performed at many even
