Pau Villalonga (died Palma de Mallorca, 1609) was a chapel master of the church of Santa María del Mar in Barcelona and the cathedral of Palma de Mallorca. He was a chapel master of the basilica of Santa María del Mar in Barcelona until 1564 when he accepted the invitation of the canton chapter of the cathedral of Palma de Mallorca to occupy the same position that had just been created. There he taught music and organ to the children of the choir and other priests of that cathedral. From 1572, due to the death of Antoni Socias, primicerio or singing teacher of the Mallorcan headquarters, all musical activity fell into his hands. Due to the interest shown in music, in 1595 he obtained authorization from the canons to create a chapel of fixed music, with a group of ministers. From 1596 he was helped by Antoni Vicens, leaving the position of primicerio in 1604, although nominally he kept it until his death. The only work that has been preserved in Vilallonga is the Llibre de Faristol (Book of Atril), which for some centuries was abandoned in a place in the bell tower of the cathedral. Once recovered, it was master Felip Pedrell who made it known, transcribe a Magnificat and the Marian antiphon Ave Regina coelorum. The total number of works contained in this book is nineteen, 3 and 4 voices, and all the works are religious.
