Pang Attack is Alex Hackett, singer, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter - formerly the frontman for Montréal shoegazers Kill The Lights (KTL). Pang Attack is a solo project in which Hackett has allowed himself to slow down and expand - to breathe deep and play all the instruments and focus on the subtleties of sound. The songs on Pang Attack's debut EP "Dreamer's Drug" (May, 2011) are built around Hackett's complex guitar-work and evocative lyricism. KTL minus the trademark wall of sound, this is an exercise in a new tranquility. Dreamy, poetic, dark and drony.
