Pan-Amerikan Native Front (often abbreviated as PANF) is a solo black metal project founded by Kurator of War in 2015. The project merges the raw, militant aggression of second-wave black metal with a deep conceptual focus on Native American history, anti-colonial resistance, and ancestral memory. PANF’s music is both historical and spiritual — exploring themes of cultural genocide, rebellion, and the enduring strength of Indigenous identity across the Americas. The debut album, Tecumseh’s War (2016), introduced the band’s vision: furious, primitive black metal infused with the story of Shawnee leader Tecumseh, whose resistance against U.S. expansion became a symbol of Indigenous unity. In 2021, Little Turtle’s War marked a sonic evolution — clearer production, richer layers, and moments of solemn reflection between waves of chaos. It centers on Michikiniqua (Little Turtle), a Miami war leader who defended his people’s land during the Northwest Indian War. Both albums serve as a form of musical remembrance, reclaiming voices and histories erased by colonial narratives.
