PRT (Perverted Radio Tapes) burned up the magnetic tape between 1975 and 1977 at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (Woopie-Tech) in Worcester, Massachusetts. (Only locals are allowed to pronounce it War- chester. The rest of you need to practice: Wuster, as in wussy-rooster.) Members were: Doctroid, Chris I., Steve K., Major Zed, and David W. Beginning with the short head humor of "Stoned Sound" and a dramatization of Gordon Dickson's "Zeepsday", they forged ahead with their first original long production, the surreal "A Bus Trip To Chartered", in 1976. The following academic year, in the new Triumph Studios facility (Doctroid, Steve, Zed, and David's living room) they recorded the space operatic "Attack From the Third Dimension" and branched out into video at the Worcester State College TV studio where some of the production on the sketch collection "Sunspots" took place.
