Rognan Bass guitar: Magnus Vågen Drums: Espen Hagstrøm Check out new P.O.N.G. riffs here P.O.N.G. on MySpace Facebook page Pong was formed at Danskebaaten on a study trip to Hamburg, Germany, by drummer Espen Hagstrøm, vocalist Christoffer Karlsen and Phase (Norway)-guitarist Patrick Johnsen in 2004. Among them there were some other members who joined under the boozing session at Danskebaaten, but the details are unclear. After guitarist Øyvind Sotberg joined, the classic Pong-line-up was created; Øyvind Sotberg and Patrick Johnsen on guitar, Espen Hagstrøm on drums, Christoffer Karlsen on vocals and finally Geir Jonny Rognan on bass from the band Phase (Norway). Later on in the russ-time, guitarists Øyvind Sotberg and Rufse, drummer Kristian Steinkjer, Vegard Kaldahl and Tore Paulsrud formed a side project named Folksom Begravels (Crowded Funeral). The band's current status is unknown. Pong made their first hit "Pain" late in 2003 influenced by heavy metal.
