The story of Our Last Run started many years ago in two small mid-Missouri towns, Brookfield and Marceline. These two towns have one of the biggest rivalries in the state of Missouri. People said these two towns could never get along. During sports seasons this is correct. But these towns are the roots for combined musical talents. Our story starts when Nick Niemeier of Marceline and Patrick McCurry of Brookfield decided to start a band. Soon after "Black n' Blue" was formed. Taylor Clark was added to the line-up as well as Richard Pope. "Black n' Blue" strived as a small punk rock band for a little more than a year. With many performances and a solid fan base under their belt, "Black n' Blue" decided to change up many features. Dylan Rucker was added to the line-up as Taylor moved on. "Black n' Blue" formed into "City's Awakening" and changed their genere to Alternative/Rock/Screamo. Without Taylor, "City's Awakening" was a train wreck waiting to happen. The band broke up in the spring of 2007. Richard went solo, Patrick and Dylan played into "To End October" and Nick seeked out Taylor. Together Taylor and Nick formed an awesome duo. They started in the summer of 2007, and practiced in hot, cramped spaces. The band picked up Seth Mendenhall and went through a few different bass players along the way.
