Fentruck was a punk rock band formed in Santa Clarita, CA in 2005. Their lineup consists of Elijah Kellogg on vocals and guitar, David Green on drums, Nick Palomino on guitar, and Geoff Trautman on bass. In a world over-run with bands attaching the suffix "core" to the end of random words to describe their genre, Fentruck proudly plays pop-punk. Fentruck plays music they describe as “thinking man’s punk”- fast-paced, high energetic songs with clever lyrics for the pop-punk fan obsessed with pop-culture. Co-lyricists Eli Kellogg and David Green ‘s lyrics are littered with references to mythology, literature, science fiction, and classic television to name a few, and that’s just an example of lyrics from one song. The southern California four-piece has toured all over northern and southern California, made numerous runs through Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, and Texas while on their own DIY tours, and landed a spot on the 2007 Vans Warped Tour. They also independently released a full-length album, 2007’s Pencils Down, which was given a five out of five by smartpunk.com. The band is hard at work on a follow-up album that promises to up the ante, both musically and lyrically. The band announced their break up in December 2010 and will play their final show on January 7th, 2011 at The Plaza in CA.
