The Orlando Consort is a well-established vocal quartet specialising in music from 1050 to 1500. The Consort was formed by the Early Music Centre of Great Britain in 1988, and has been noteworthy in working with academia to recreate historically accurate Early Music performances with authentic pronunciation and tuning, often dealing with music that has not been performed in the modern era. Of late the Orlando Consort has expanded its repertoire to cover jazz and other contemporary music. Consort members are Angus Smith, Mark Dobell, Donald Greig, and Robert Harre-Jones.
