One Stop Earnest were a 7-piece ska/punk band from sunny Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, UK. For four years One Stop, as they were known, played an exciting blend of Ska/Punk that had audiences transfixed wherever they went. During this time One Stop wrote over 45 songs and played nearly 100 shows mainly around the local area, and on a few occasions even ventured away from home, visiting places such as: Chester, Folkestone, Ipswich, King's Lynn and Derby. Formed in High School, 2001, One Stop Earnest (then Sherbet Herbet) were a 4 piece punk band, originally consisting of Ben Ablitt on drums, Stevie Allen on guitar, Nic Smith on bass and Aaron Juneau on vocals. After realising they had more to offer than just your average 3 chord punk songs, they decided to switch to ska music, calling on school friend Chris Miller, who played the trombone, to spice things up a bit. After a name change to One Stop Earnest, the now 5 piece band took a relatively simple ska-punk route, playing a few gigs under this guise in the local area. A few unsuccessful lineup additions later, the band hit upon the missing piece they'd been looking for all along; Toni Diggines on sax. With this new set up, One Stop infiltrated the Norwich scene, at one point playing gigs almost every weekend. They went on to win the Great Yarmouth Battle of the Bands competition and started working on their first full length album which was recorded at Purple Studios, Norwich.
