On-Screen Heroes are a 4-piece indie-rock band. Heavily influenced by bands that have helped define and shape guitar-based music over the past few generations, such as The Clash, The Strokes and The Libertines, On-Screen Heroes want to do the same for the next generation, through songs that people can connect and identify with, and develop a passion for, something which is all too often missing from the current music scene. Originally starting life as a 3-piece, the strength of their live performances and impressive catalogue of songs saw the band being picked to work with the Robert Plant-backed MAS Records. The fruits of this partnership can be seen with the bands first single, ‘Saturday Comedown’, which although an independent release, was recorded with MAS Records. The band were also chosen to help launch a new music show on Sky Digital channel ‘Red TV’, hosted by Ditto Music, who the band have gone on to use to digitally distribute their début single. The addition of a lead guitarist has taken the sound on to another level, with 2010 seeing sold out headline shows at the Cavern Club in Liverpool and throughout their native Birmingham. In September the band worked with acclaimed Producer Gavin Monaghan (Editors, Kings of Leon, Ocean Colour Scene), and legendary Mastering Engineer David Mitson (Michael Jackson, Carlos Santana, South Park), to bring to life ‘The Boy Who Fell In Love Again’ and ‘Wreckhead’, showcasing the exciting sound of this emerging band.
