One day, during another ordinary rehearsal two inordinary friends – Bondy and Arthur – got an idea: to establish their own band! “Why not?” - they thought to themselves, - “We got lots of concepts and we play great!” After they've started, they faced their 1st problem – a proper amount of players needed. They were searching hard for those people, whose passion is music and who wouldn't play only in one genre. It was year 2006. 2 yers later a new musician – a bass guitar player Vampy – joined the crew. So “Novel Phobia” finally was established on 23 January 2008. Half a year later, the group expanded after band manager – G-Pac - and guitar- and keys-player – Dan - came in NP. Since than, NP has been performing succesfully in lots of clubs of Riga. Even though, their songs are spreading through Latvian radio stations and soon it's about to start collaboration with “Onyx Records”. The style is unusual and many-sided. Each track sounds differents, it has its own unique spark, contrasts. For instance, if you listen to one song, it may be energetic, if you listen to another one, it may be tranquil and romantic. We love to experiment and try something new! And for our primary genre we usually perform we consider Rock/Experimental/Alternative. Lyrics are unusual, even though we reflect our thoughts about life, love and death in those. With every single day we try to develop!
