'Not In Single Spies' started off as a solo Acoustic/Experimental project by multi-instrumentalist Adam Pirmohamed, in Summer 2009, under the name 'A Stone Yard Star' The project originally combined melody and acoustic songs, with dark, somewhat unnerving experimental pieces. However, after the completion of the first album 'Ruin In The Courtyard', Adam decided to split his creative ideas in two, futher exploring his acoustic ideas under his own name. For this project, Adam aims to delve deeply into creating haunting and vicious experimental songs. They will be written with greater complexity and more thought than on the first album, and will be the sole focus of the next record. They will be considerably longer, so recording and production will take far longer than anything Adam has done before. At the start of 2010, Adam recorded a 16 minute EP, 'The Mercy Seat', for use in his own A Level Theatre piece. It serves as a solid example of what can be expected from the project in the not too distant future. It is currently posted on the site. The next album will be produced in full after it's completion, but writing will not likely start till the summer of 2010.
