Philadelphia PA, United States (2008-2010) Originally a backup live band for one of Bruce Wiegner's solo projects, the band literally started in a friend's basement. He got the help of friends Mike Miller (Enfield) on guitar, Mike Sicalades (Airheads) on bass, and Rick Chapman (SideTrack) on drums to play a house show. Sicalades left for other projects and was replaced by Alex Noonan. The lineup continued as a 4-piece and played a second show as an unnamed band. Eventually settling on North Farewell, the band had already started to gain a fan base, playing more shows in the Bucks County area. Within a few months the band had a few singles, "Patience" and "Pushing On" recorded with Sicalades at MBRS Studios and released an untitled demo in May. With plans to make an EP that fall, the guys hit the road in July 2008 embarking on an 8-day DIY tour across several states on the east coast. When they returned to Pennsylvania they recorded 5 more songs and released The North Farewell EP that October on iTunes and on CD. After some local success and escalating EP sales, the band began to write new material. In early 2009, they demoed a few of the songs in Bruce's garage, the soon-to-be Overlook Studios, currently owned and operated by Wiegner. By March the band members were going their separate ways and decided to take a hiatus for awhile. That fall they got back together to finish what they had of what was becoming a full length album.
