Nomoredolls are literally ushering in a new era in the tenure of their career with the release of Another Way of Living. By adopting a newer, more mature approach to their craft this quartet have reshaped their sound from linear alternative rock to a textured and nuanced sonic expression. The group’s desire to push the limits of their creativity comes to fruition on Another Way of Living, with Brit-influenced electro new wave, borrowing from The Cure and Joy Division, yet still maintaining a contemporary modern edge, much like Editors and Interpol. Adding to this combination, are Cecilia’s haunting vocals that have often drawn comparisons to another ‘80s icon, Chrissie Hynde. Based in Italy, but sometimes calling London and New York home, Nomoredolls are preparing for the release of their fourth album Another Way of Living and concentrating on creating a darker sound, found on tracks like “The Boxeur” and “Revelation (trip-one).” Nomoredolls represent an interesting dichotomy in their diverse trainings, with both Cecilia and Pier’s both being classically influenced. Cecilia entered the world of music as a jazz singer, touring with international artists at a young age, while Pier’s musical roots go back to his days when taking classical piano lessons. Whereas the other half of the group honed their skills independently, with Max who studied music as a child, playing the guitar and as well as developing an interest in synthesizers.
