Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds are an English rock band formed in 2010 by Oasis songwriter, guitarist, and vocalist Noel Gallagher. The project serves as Gallagher's solo endeavor, featuring a touring band that includes former Oasis members Gem Archer (guitar) and Chris Sharrock (drums), along with former Oasis touring-member Mike Rowe (piano) and former Zutons bassist Russell Pritchard. Various guest musicians have contributed to the band's studio recordings, including the Crouch End Festival Chorus, Amorphous Androgynous, Johnny Marr, and Paul Weller. The debut album, "Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds," was released later that year and included singles such as "The Death of You and Me," "If I Had a Gun...," "AKA... What a Life!," "Dream On," and "Everybody's on the Run." The band's second album, "Chasing Yesterday," was released in 2015, followed by "Who Built the Moon?" in 2017. Between 2019 and 2020, three EPs were released. The fourth studio album, "Council Skies," was released in June 2023. Gallagher has explained that the band's name was inspired by two sources. The prefix "Noel Gallagher's" was influenced by the album "Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac," while "High Flying Birds" was taken from the song "High Flying Bird," which was notably recorded
