Born in Israel in 1978, Nimrod Sahar received his first musical instruction as a pianist and clarinetist at the Conservatory of Kiryat Ono, where aged 17 he also began his study of composition. In 2000 he entered the Music Academy of the Tel Aviv University, receiving several scholarships for musical studies from the America-Israel cultural foundation. He continued his master studies in composition in the University for Music and Performing Arts in Graz, granted with a scholarship by the David Herzog Fund. In-between he moved to Paris to further his research into composition and electroacoustics with Philippe Leroux; he was subsequently awarded his Diplôme d’Etudes Musicales, following his work with Thierry Blondeau. He participated in diverse master-classes with leading composers in the international courses in Darmstadt, as well as in the context of the Impuls Festival in Graz. Nimrod Sahar, composer, worked on a score for string quartet which was premiered in France in February 2015 by Quatuor Bela during ProQuartet's concerts in Château d'Angers. In July 2014 his work Garden Path (Holzwegeffekt) for bass-flute, accordion and cello, was premiered by Trio Amos in the festival for contemporary music Tzlil Meudcan. In the same year by the Tel Aviv Soloists Ensemble premiered his score for chamber orchestra, Quatre temps, which was commissioned by The Adele and John Gray Endowment Fund. In 2012 he composed his “opera for two” Je suis le vent for counter-tenor and violin afte
