Nils Henrik Asheim (born 20. January 1960) is a Norwegian composer and organist who lives in Stavanger. Asheim studied at Norges Musikkhøgskole (Norwegian Academy of Music) and the Sweelinck conservatory in Amsterdam. He has composed chamber music, orchestral works, church music, music theaters and computer based music. He composed the official fanfare to the Olympic Winter Games in 1994 at Lillehammer, Norway. The fanfare is recorded with Gardemusikken (the King's Guard Orchestra). He received the Edvard prize in 2002 for his work «Chase» in the category Contemporary classical music.
