Nightbearer is a German death metal band formed in 2017 in Paderborn, North Rhine-Westphalia by vocalist Michael Torka and guitarist Dominik Hellmuth out of a shared passion for uncompromising, old-school death metal rooted in the golden era of the 1990s. From the start, they embraced that classic HM-2 “buzzsaw” guitar tone and a love for horror and fantasy literature as core parts of their identity. Across their releases, Nightbearer combine classic death metal ferocity with literary and conceptual breadth, making them a standout in the modern German extreme metal underground.
