Muckle Flugga are an Edinburgh-based band comprising Dave Gifford, who plays fiddle and various whistles; Bob Crosbie, who plays guitar, tenor banjo, and mandola; and Claire Murdoch, who plays fiddle and bodhran. Muckle Flugga have been playing together since 2005 - firstly as a duo (Dave and Bob). In 2009 they were joined by Abbie Patterson for a time. Then in 2011, Claire Murdoch became the third member of the trio. They have an extensive collection of Celtic music in their repertoire. In July of 2010 they released their first album “Northern Light”, and their second album "Back to the Light" was released in October 2012. More info about the band can be found on their website.
