Monchichi Potencial was formed after the Subicz brothers had won a remix contest with the space-funk version of "Nincsen a világon" by hungarian band Amorf Ördögök. They started playing live after two months of rehearsals in may 2003 and the band started to make their own sound and atmosphere. After former drummer Jones and former singer Encs left the Monchichis, with the arrival of Tita and Viktor the actual line-up of the band was established and they started to record their first album in Bioton Studios, Budapest. "Szieszta Intenzív" containing 11 tracks was out in March 2006 and has a quite good reputation, resulting gigs on important venues like A38 and Petofi Csarnok in Budapest.
