Milktoast is two bands: 1. milktoast from Portland, Maine (2013-present) is Justin Wendler, an American/German singer-songwriter. He has recorded with other artists, such as Port Orchards of Portland, Maine and Luke Dobrowski of Vermont, in living rooms and bedrooms across the North East continental United States. His short lo-fi tunes are (perhaps inappropriately) placed under the label of twee folk, but who knows. 2. Milktoast was a punk rock band from Manchester, Conn. active from 1992 to 1993. They released a single EP on Vandal Children Records. Like many of their Central Connecticut punk peers of the day, their sound was an energetic, sped-up take on late 1980s East Bay punk rock of the type made famous by Lookout Records. The bass player for Milktoast, Jeff Caxide, went on to play for acclaimed post-metal band Isis.
