Sonically influenced by mid nineties radio rock and lyrically indebted to modern indie-folk, Mile High School is the full band incarnation of 21 year old Craig Kleemann's solo project. Featuring veterans of Virginia punk, metal and dance-rock bands, Mile High School synthesizes infectious hooks and an often manic live show that always proves catchy, memorable and simply fun. The rhythm section of drummer Matt "BOOM" Jordan and bassist Dave Shirkhani produce a back end that is at once stripped down and solid, while dual guitars and keyboards pay homage to late great power pop bands like Cheap Trick, The Gin Blossoms, Third Eye Blind and New End Original. Mile High School isn't trying to change anybody's life, they're simply looking to make indie rock less about cute hair and more about enjoying music again.
