Artist
Merridew Jane has been writing songs and music since her early childhood. She was exposed to a very well-rounded and wide spectrum of music throughout her younger years, and developed an appreciation for many of those styles. Merridew Jane's brand new album Invocation now available on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon MP3, eMusic, & MOG! Music composition and songwriting has been a major part of Merridew Jane's life for most of her existence. The Merridew Jane EP has been referred to as "creepy," "hypnotic," "emotional," and "honest." Her music is inspired by introspection, psychology, love, fear, dreams, spirituality, and relationships. The pseudonym "Merridew Jane" was inspired by Jack Merridew, the antagonist of the novel Lord of the Flies, by William Golding. She has been using the nickname off and on since her high school days, but found it fitting to append to her "music name."
