Medallions of Martha is the pairing of Jonathon Spitmeier and Sebastian Doubtmyre. The pair met in an arthouse one day as Jonathan was attempting a stand-up comedy routine in front of a crowd of bewildered students. The pair rapidly discovered a shared fascination with, and inability to play, anything by Rachmaninoff. This led to the pair taking their skills to a variety of random instruments (and household objects) to create the Four 8 Sixth EP. (Jonathon and Sebastian are pseudonyms adopted by Mark Hanlon of Why Take Fire? and Mark Ward of Where is This; both are also the founding members of Faded Motorway Cronies.)
