Mechanical Spiders is a band that was formed in Cuijk, Holland during the late winter of 2010 when friends and house mates Rafal 'The Skrab Majsterr' Skrabala and Lennaert 'JJ McBlaze' van Mierlo witnessed the bright, red t-shirt of Marcin, a Polish guy that lived close by, portraying a big steel spider with the words Mechanical Spider written around it. This prompted guitarist JJ McBlaze to start a three chord riff including the words written on the T-Shirt and thus, history was written. The band strive to have as many funny song as possible and by now their repertoire includes such classics as 'Polish Car', about a Police car in the game Need for Speed; 'Mechanical Spider', about the red t-shirt; and the fabled 'Ty Huju!' about greeting people in Polish. JJ McBlaze also operates under his own name and very sometimes as Pzt_Wirbelwind, in which guise he made topical songs about World War II game Close Combat. Right now, though, Mechanical Spiders is rising to become the local scene's hero's and the list of songs keep growing with the addition of their latest song: Smoke on the Water.
