Materialeyes are a Yorkshire-based art rock/ prog rock band. The band formed when musician and songwriter Dave Westmoreland and guitarist Will Lawery met at a local open mic night back in 2010. Both Dave and Will shared a love of progressive rock, especially of the more laid back variety (Camel, Caravan, Barclay James Harvest, Bill Nelson) Martyn Howes was invited to join in 2016, having played many years previously in Roadster (vinyl single 45 MPH) and later in bands with ex-Vardis musicians Al Selway and Gary Pearson. Their first album, Strange Road was released on CD and digital download 29 March 2018. This was followed a year later with In Focus. Materialeyes released their third album Three of a Kind Inside Out is the latest album.
