Chicago-native Mary Lynn began playing piano in 1996 with once-secret dreams of writing her own songs. In 2008, she joined This Is My Suitcase, one of the loudest, left-field pop acts in Columbus, Ohio, where Mary Lynn was earning her Bachelor of Arts in Music Technology from Capital University. With Mary Lynn's musical talents and engineering assistance, the band recorded an ambitious album, The Keys To Cat Heaven, in Los Angeles, California and Columbus, Ohio. In 2010, The Keys To Cat Heaven was released through Paper + Plastick Records. With the band, Mary Lynn played on the main stages of Columbus's biggest festivals (Comfest, Independant's Day, Columbus Arts Festival), as well as countless tours and shows with national (Fall Out Boy, Kevin Devine, Matt and Kim) and local acts.
