Mark Rose is a singer/songwriter from Chicago, IL who plays his own blend of pop, rock and r&b. Front man and key songwriter for rock band Spitalfield from 1998-2007 which since then they have also reunited over the years for shows and festivals specifically for the ten year anniversaries of "Remember Right Now" & "Stop Doing Bad Things". They also played at Riot Fest in Chicago with a back to back set with former label/town mates The Audition, As for Rose he has made a name for himself as a versatile songwriter and performer. “The guys deserve credit for knowing exactly where to go big and when to hold back for maximum effect,” says All Music Guide’s Corey Apar, of Spitalfield’s 2006 effort, Better Than Knowing Where You Are. In and out of the studio, on and off the road, Rose is developing his sound and taking the next step of his career. “How Strong We Are” is the first recorded sample of new music coming out to the public, showcasing a different side of his talent and perhaps a great indicator of what’s to come stylistically. Rose had his onstage debut with a backing band to a sold out crowd at Chicago’s Beat Kitchen this past April. “It felt right to be on stage again,” comments Rose. “There’s nothing like an intimate packed club to try out new music and ideas.” Mark studied music composition at Columbia College in Chicago for two years before signing a recording contract with Spitalfield in 2003 to Victory Records.
