This Is Me Smiling was a 4 piece pop-rock group formed around 2004 in Chicago, Illinois, USA. Their debut self titled album was released on Vinyl Summer records in 2005 then re-released on OneHaven records in March 2007. Their second LP, Only Uphill, was released in November 2010 as a free download via their website, Myspace and Bandcamp. The group consisted of Dan Duszynski on lead vocals and guitar, Sheldon Miller on keys and vocals, and Matt Schuessler on bass. Drums were performed by Mike Felumlee on their first record and Adam Kaltenhauser on their second. Duszynski and Schuessler have been accomplished recording engineers, mixers and studio musicians since their time with the band. Duszynski was also a member of Gold Motel (along with Kaltenhauser), Fortunetellers (with Schuessler and Kaltenhauser) and LOMA, and released solo material as Any Kind. Miller had played piano with The Academy Is... and later became head of music staff at a university. Felumelee is a member of Smoking Popes and had played drums with Alkaline Trio in the early 2000's - as well as releasing solo material under his name.
