Marius Hendrikus Flothuis (Amsterdam, 30 oktober 1914 – Amsterdam, 13 november 2001) was a Dutch composer and musicologist. He studied piano with Bé Boef and Arend Koole and music theory with Hans Brandts Buys. He studied musicology at the University of Amsterdam, and gained his doctorate there in 1969. In 1937, he became artistic co-director of the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, but in 1942 he was dismissed because he refused to cooperate with the German occupying authorities. After the was, he worked for the Donemus foundation, and the newspaper Het Vrije Volk. From 1974 until 1983, he was professor of musicology at the University of Utrecht.
