All-around artist and complete performer, Maria Laura Baccarini began her career with the leading role in the musical "A Chorus Line". She played Cassie several times in Italy (directors: Baayork Lee & S.Marconi ), in the United States (New York University Theatre 1991) and in Great Britain (UK tour 1997, with the late Adam Faith - director: Baayork Lee). She was Anita in West Side Story European Tour '92 (director: Alan Johnson). She played the leading characters in "Il giorno della tartaruga" (1992-93), "Cabaret" (1993-95), "Gigi" (1995-97), Tutto il mondo va in cerca d’amore" (one woman show 1997), "They’re playing our Song" (1998-2000), "Run for your wife" (2000-02), "Promises Promises" (2002-03), "Chicago" (2004, role : Roxie Hart), "Concerto per un Poeta" (2006, written by Giorgio Calabrese and Riccardo Biseo), "Move Over Mrs Markham" (2008-09), "I Have a Dream – History's Greatest Speeches" (2008-09), "Ascolta il canto del Vento - Homage to Native Americans (2009). Summer '09 she played "The Twelfth Night" at Verona Shakespeare festival and on tour in Italy. She's currently on stage in Italy with "Somewhere", a concert with pianist Riccardo Biseo. In France since 2004, she took part in "Nuit Américaine"(2004-05), an homage to 20th Century greatest American composers, together with French star Lambert Wilson and jazz singer Stéphy Haik (musical direction and arrangements by Régis Huby). In june 2009, she took part in the creation of "Terra Vagans" written by Yann Appe
