MARGARET FREEMAN is a male duo born after the separation of URBAIN AUTOPSY. Created in 1989 by Overload System (Pascal Jeannet) on sampler and Chris.P. (Christophe Mielle) on vocals, the aim was to develop a radical and innovative musical project. They will be joined by Fiflo (Ex keyboard player of Ausweis) on bass then by Peewee (Ex drummer of Flitox) who will replace Chris.P. on vocals. Around samples from Swans, Nurse With Wound, Coil, Butthole Surfers, Shock Headed Peters, The Residents and many other groups or various musical sources, Margaret Freeman influenced by Suicide, The Young Gods or Ministry to name a few lays the foundations of a minimalist, powerful and angry electronic rock. Dark and nihilistic lyrics, mechanical music structured around an energetic rhythm, MARGARET FREEMAN will be part of an underground and industrial musical movement made up of a few appearances on international compilations and cassettes recorded "at home". But who is Margaret Freeman?
