Artist
Mange Schmidt, real name Bo Magnus Schmidt, is a Swedish hip-hop artist from Malmö, Sweden, based in Stockholm. He got into thehip-hop scene with the album, "Greatest Hits", in which he performs covers of american rap songs with Swedish lyrics. The album was passed on in mixtapes during the late 1990s - 2000. An example is that he made The Notorious B.I.G.'s "Warning" to "Varning," which was the first track on the album and was the inspiration to do the album in the first place. Another example of albums on that first album is his cover of Diamond D & The Psychotic Neurotics "Freestyle" (yo thats the shit), which was remade into "Det här är sån skit." In the summer of 2006, he had success on the top charts with the single Glassigt and made his TV debut on August 26 in Sommarkrysset on TV4. In the autumn of the same year, the album "Samtidigt, i Stockholm" and the second single Vem e han? came out. In 2007 Mange Schmidt, with the help of popular Swedish rapper Petter, made the new song Giftig which also became a great success. During this year he also released his third album Känslan Kommer Tillbaks. After his fourth alnum in 2013, Schmidt wouldn't release music as frequently as before, but has released singles on a more frequent basis since 2020. In addition to music, Schmidt runs a catering company, mainly focused on beverage handling, in Stockholm.
