Artist
Lucifer O'Brien is the solo moniker of Luke O'Brien, a musician from Swampscott, Massachusetts. He releases solo work under the name "Lucifer", a play on how people always think his name is short for Lucas, when in fact, according to O'Brien, it's short for Lucifer, which is something he played up when performing at open mic performances during his freshman year of college. He has a range of influences from Bright Eyes and The Smiths, from Weezer, The Smashing Pumpkins, and Radiohead. He released his first EP, "Angst All Over!" in May of 2016. He released a cover EP under his real name in December of 2016. Luke also heads a musical project, Crashing Sunset, a group he has curated mostly by himself since high school. With the help of his friend Chris James, they released a full-length debut album "The Warmth of The Glow" in January of 2017. Luke has another release, The "I Swear, I'm Trying" EP due out in late March of 2017. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
