Los Kipus, a Peruvian group of Creole Music formed by Paco Maceda, Víctor Meléndez and Elizabeth Panchano began its history in August 1959 and its first presentations were made in January 1960 in Ecuador. Then they came to Lima to offer their first "live" performances. For this reason, at that time many thought they were Ecuadorians. Several were the voices that interpreted unforgettable songs. Among them are Carmen Montoro, Zoraida Villanueva, Charito Alonso, Pilar Valdivia, Zenobia Cáceres, Eva Ayllón, Teresita Andrade (Ecuadorian), Martha Valdivia, Rosa García, Isabel La Rosa, Chela Lecca, Susana Santander, Vilma Paredes, Dolly Miranda and Sonia Berrocal. And until December 31, 2001, Francoise Rodríguez was the last female figure of the mixed trio. But on Thursday, February 14, 2002, the seventeenth voice was announced, she is Elizabeth Panchano, a new discovery of the founder and director Paco Maceda.
