Lena Rios (born August 16, 1949; died July 7, 2025) was a Brazilian singer, journalist, and radio host. Born Maria do Socorro Barradas in Teresina, Piauí, she was the daughter of accordionist Raimundo Barradas and violinist Helena Siqueira Barradas. She adopted the name Lena Rios in the early 1970s, inspired by her mother’s name, during a meeting with Torquato Neto, Carlos Imperial, and Carlos Lemos. She began her career in Picos with the band Os Leões, later performing in Teresina with the bands Os Metralhas and Os Brasinhas. She was known as a the prominent voice of Piauí’s tropicália scene. She passed away in her hometown's house on July 7, 2025 age 75 from complications of pulmonary emphysema.
