Living in tents inside an 8,000 sq. ft. warehouse in Chicago, throwing D.I.Y. shows every weekend, only to wake up to empty heroin needles in the bathroom and littered beer cans to clean up for the next show for 2 years straight, is a small comparison to not only the music Lechuguillas provokes, but dedicated D.I.Y. ethic they live by. Forming in 2008 in Chicago while running The Mopery, and self releasing 2 albums and a 7 inch split with harsh improv group Tiger Hatchery, Lechuguillas has made their way to Austin in October 2011. While only playing seldom shows since the move, they have self released a 3rd album before a month long tour which will kick off at xxxx; a natural choice considering where they've come from. Hot & Ready (recorded by Coma in Algiers' Evan at 5th. St.) consists of the same relentless, assaulting, noise trash that is, aside from earpiercing; well thought out skilled musicians disguising themselves with Jim Beam and sweat to seem like it's not put together. This will be Lechuguillas last show in Austin before tour, and there won't be another chance to catch them since they will be on hiatus indefinitely. If you want to see pummeling, unforgiving drums (Camacho) paired with equally sounding jagged fuck you Bass (Jesse Pollock), and more importantly, tossed with knife stabbing guitar feedback (Mike Hart), that is accompanied by bear wrestling vocals that continuesly make you want to wreck your car for fun, this is the show for you. -----------------
