Giovanna Beatriz Andrea Núñez Trisollini (born March 15, 1982, in Lima, Peru), known professionally as La Lá, is a Peruvian singer-songwriter and composer. Her music blends elements of jazz, bossa nova, and traditional Peruvian popular music. Núñez was born in the Barranco district of Lima. From an early age she showed a strong interest in music, influenced by radio programs she listened to with her mother. She eventually joined a student jazz orchestra, where her vocal abilities became evident despite her lack of formal musical education. La Lá’s musical career began to gain recognition with the release of her debut album Rosa in 2014. The album established her distinctive style, combining genres such as jazz, bossa nova, and Peruvian criollo waltz. In 2017 she released her second album, Zamba, which brought her to international stages including Festival Marvin in Mexico and Músicas del Mundo in Santiago, Chile. The single “La Felicidad” and the album itself achieved success in Peru, leading to her being named one of the 21 notable figures of the year by the newspaper Perú 21. In 2018 she also ventured into children’s literature with the illustrated book ¡Apagón!, created with her father, the artist Alonso N
